What are your system requirements? View the specifications : Technical Specifications Is the CD-ROM sent to me by Accenture all I need to install and run my Accenture Productivity Solutions version 5 software? That depends on the type and version of software you have installed and are using. Please refer to the list below.
1) Standalone system - YES. Accenture provides all that you need to run your software.
2) Sybase networked system - NO. Before you will be able to connect to the relational database from our MPS software, you MUST first be sure to install the appropriate DBMS client software on your PCs running the MPS software. This is the Sybase SQL Anywhere Server software that you purchased separately. For more information you can reference Page 1 of your MPS Software Installation Instructions.
3) MSSQL or Oracle networked system (Pre 5.4.0) - NO. Before you will be able to connect to the relational database from our MPS software, you MUST first be sure to install the appropriate DBMS client software on your PCs running the MPS software. This is eitehr the MSSQL or Oracle software that you purchased separately. For more information you can reference Page 1 of your MPS Software Installation Instructions.
4) MSSQL or Oracle networked system (Version 5.4.0+) - YES. Accenture provides all that you need to run your software. Version 5.4.0+ includes Wire drivers which eliminate the need for DBMS client software to be installed. What is the MPSCust.PBD file? The MPSCust.pbd (also called Customization File) file is located in the ...MPSSuite\Bin folder of your installation and it contains all of the customization information for your system. All products in the MPS Suite use this information in order to display data as you need it. The Customization Utility modifies this file based on the needs of your organization. In addition, this file, along with your database, is updated each time you receive a software upgrade by running the Update Center utility.
Can I use Windows NT Authentication instead of Microsoft SQL Server Authentication? Yes, Windows NT Authentication can be used to login to the MPS software. Please note: We recommend creating one SQL Authenticated account for the MCS User ID. When running the Update Center database utility, the MCS User ID must be used. This will be done only when you are upgrading/initially installing your system. Please refer to the MPS Software Installation Instructions for more information about running the Update Center. Why after installing the latest upgrade do several of my StandardsPro Operation reports now print in Landscape format instead of Portrait? In version 5.2.0, the ability to customize the Single Operator Detail was added to StandardsPro. All clients now have the ability to add up to 10 additional customized columns. Due to this fact, the width of any report containing Operation Detail report could increase greatly.
The way the current reports are designed, the format cannot be changed between Landscape or Portrait. The format must be hard coded for each report, and the design decision was made to hardcode any report containing Operation Detail data to be printed in Landscape format only.
However, in version 5.3.0, the ability to print all reports via the default web browser (Internet Explorer) was added to both StandardsPro and LeanLine. The report is recreated in HTML format, and then passed to the default browser. Using the browser's Page Setup functionality, you can control the format in which the report is printed. Thus, using this functionality, you may print your reports in Portrait format again. Where can I find an electronic copy of the installation instructions? Login to the Software Client Area, then click on Software Installation Instructions. You can then open the instructions in your web browser or download them to your computer.
