Best Methods |
There are more than 10 Best Methods courses that include an introduction to Best Methods and then detail the 10 Principles of Best Methods. Included in this series of courses are five application level courses that complement each principle level course. Also included in this series of courses are two courses that help to identify and document methods and then generate method improvement ideas. |
Setup Reduction |
In the courses included in the Setup Reduction series, several courses focus on the steps to improve setup times. In the Preparing for Setup Reduction, Reducing Setup Time, and Implementing the Revised Setup courses, key principles are identified to reduce setup times and improve efficiency in changeovers. |
Work Flow Design |
For Work Flow Design, the focus of the courses included in the series is to identify the work flow impediments that can cause delays and imbalance in the work areas and to also provide design solutions to remove and reduce those impediments. |
Standard Work Series (Prepare the Workforce) |
Engineered Standards |
The courses included in the Engineered Standards curriculum provide an introduction to standards along with overview courses of Time Study and the MOST Work Measurement System. In addition, there are comprehensive courses that focus on the engineered standards development process highlighting the three main development approaches of Direct Measurement, Benchmark Standards, and Standard Data. |
Workforce Training |
The courses included in the Workforce Training series are designed to help organizations with the development and use of job aids, such as visual method sheets, performance-based training and other tools to train and equip the workforce to meet expectations and perform effectively and consistently. |

The Staffing and Reporting courses include the Labor Planning Series which focuses on understanding the purpose of a long-term labor plan as well as the methodology for generating the labor plan |
Managing Performance |
The courses included in the Managing Performance series provide the tools necessary for supervisors and managers to use the four components of the Managing Performance cycle to effectively manage associates. Included in this series are the Coaching Guide and the Investigate & Take Action Decision chart to help managers provide clear expectations for associates and respond appropriately in all types of situations. |
