This one-day training course introduces balancing strategies and the use of LeanLine to apply those strategies. This understanding is accomplished by using realistic and practical examples along with a hands-on approach.

- Apply balancing strategies to a work flow.
- Move labor and resources to achieve target utilization, production or delivery goals and meet customer demand.
- Create single and multi-product balances to determine how a mix will affect working times, target values and labor.

Learn the basics of the LeanLine system
- Learn basic balancing strategies, terminology and benefits.
- Learn how engineered standards can be used to assign work and apply balancing strategies.
- Learn the LeanLine desktop environment.
Analyze balances with LeanLine
- Create both single-product and multiple-product balances, including stations, operators, working times, target values and labor requirements.
- Understand how to account for the compounding effect of sequential yield.
- Understand the components of takt time calculations and in-process inventory.
- Assign labor manually and automatically.
- Analyze the sensitivity of the balance to changes in quantities and/or percentages of base, variation or setup operations.
- Simulate the effects of applying balancing strategies by adjusting target utilizations, number of operators and working times.
