StandardsPro for Retail StandardsPro for Retail is a complete engineered standards development application, enhanced with tools and processes specifically designed for the retail industry.

Accurate engineered labor standards are a critical data input for a successful workforce management program. However, developing this data in a retail environment can be a daunting task. The complexity and quantity of the workforce, the multitude of tasks and the ever-changing customer traffic and transaction data must be incorporated to effectively develop engineered standards.

For these reasons, StandardsPro for Retail contains tools designed specifically for the retail sector:

  • Industry Typical Database: This database contains hundreds of standards that have been developed specifically for the retail industry. Using these standards helps to significantly lower development costs and reduce engineering time. The standards contained in this database have been developed using the MOST system.
  • Profile Manager: Designed specifically for the retail industry, Profile Manager is used to quickly select a set of standards, customize those standards for your organization and then make the data available for use with external applications. This information is developed using the following processes:
  • Build organization: A hierarchical tree structure is built to represent your organization. During that process, standards are selected, product movement data is mapped to the standard structure and forecast volumes are provided for standard time calculations.
  • Validate standards: The standard time is validated to ensure that it is correct for your organization. This process includes a review of selected standards, identifying standards that require validation and an analysis of the characteristics that affect your organization.
  • Export data: Once standards are validated, you can create data files of standard information and provide that data to task management and labor-scheduling applications.
