COURSE SUMMARY:

This course prepares supervisors with the knowledge and skills they need to improve workforce performance.
Supervisors learn how to use the components of the Maynard managing performance cycle and gain insights on how
to identify and correct conditions that lead to poor performance. Supervisors also learn strategies to proactively help
workers to be successful at their jobs.

- Apply the components of the managing performance cycle to improve workforce performance.
- Understand and use standards as a tool for managing performance.
- Identify and evaluate the conditions that are necessary to ensure the success of workers.
- Use visual strategies to help guide, correct and motivate error-free performance.
- Use summary reports to evaluate results and plan improvement efforts.
- Plan for responding to potential problems using the three pronged approach: investigate, take action and document.
