Training - Overview

Training is an essential element in managing workforce performance. A well-trained employee has the ability to think, create, and lead better than the untrained employee. Proper training prepares each employee to carry out their responsibilities more effectively. Collectively, a highly trained organization has the ability to rise above the competition in the race to achieve superior levels of productivity and profits.

Accenture acquired H. B. Maynard and Company in October 2007, and was soon named the Operations Workforce Optimization (OWO) group within Accenture. Maynard was founded as a training company, focusing on training people how to improve productivity through methods engineering and the development of engineered time standards, the Operations Workforce Optimization unit at Accenture continues this legacy.

Our training methodology is to develop courses that ensure understanding and retention. The approach to training has been to continue to provide cost effective training that gets the results clients expect. Much of our training has been transformed into online training through the Accenture Workforce Optimization Academy. The online approach has proven to show positive results for our clients who take advantage of the self-paced training as their schedules allow.

The courses in the online Academy continue the focus to help our clients improve workforce performance and eliminate waste with a wide range of courses that support the Workforce Performance Model. While all of our courses support the Workforce Performance Model, many of the MOST Work Measurement courses have been at the core of our training curriculum for years and several have moved to the online format.
